The General Assembly is composed of all full and associate members. It is the only authority in matters related to EURATEX’s statutes, the admission of new members, the approval of budgets and accounts, the election of the President, Vice-Presidents and the Board of Directors and matters of major importance affecting the global interests of the EU industry. It meets at least once a year no later than June 30th.
EURATEX has three basic categories of members:
- Full members are (a) integrated national textile and/or clothing industrial associations of European Union, EFTA countries or of countries with which the EU has a Customs Union; (b) Textile/clothing European industrial branch associations of EU countries.
- Associate members are integrated national textile and/or clothing industrial associations of countries with which the EU has signed preferential or association agreements.
- Corresponding members are (a) companies or organisations representing sectors in, or connected with, the textile/clothing industry in EU countries, EFTA countries or countries with which the EU has a Customs Union; (b) manufacturing companies affiliated to a full member and with a European turnover in excess of 250 million Euros.
